Thanks to the in-house developed Web Application framework we are able to quickly develop high-end web applications within a modular environment for easy maintenance and expandability.

In this instance we have transferred a web based IssueTracker for St George's hospital. We had a choice of styling the existing user-interface or completely rebuild the IssueTracker using the A-Vision web development framework.

A quick calculation showed that the time required for a complete rebuild would take about the same time as styling the existing program.

So, here is what we have done ...

By using the A-Vision web application framework we were able to do this in only 8 hours, using their existing data. Next to that we also added some minor functionality using the functionality provided by the framework.

This can also be a windows desktop application, with the major benefit of server based web applications now everyone can access the software from their own computer and depending on user rights functionality can easily be enabled or disabled.

The Dutch company 'EtikettenDrukkerij Noord-Nederland BV' has taken on the WIP-CRM as their business tool to streamline their processes for creating quotes up till invoicing their clients. A whole Job card tracking system at your finger tips.

The WIP-CRM gives you direct access to all your (prospective) clients including the communication (email and phone) with them as well as appointments and notes through a single click. This assures everyone in the company can answer enquiries from the clients more easily without having to ask around what has been agreed etc.
Also through a single click on Jobs in progress the WIP-CRM gives you a plain overview of the status and progress of outstanding jobs. Again, clients can be served with the right answer straight away without having to ask around or guess where a certain job is at.

Soon this application will be extended with an automatic system to grab all incoming and outgoing emails to clients and link them to the system, so no manual logging of email communications is any-more required.
Next to that the system will be linked with the A-Vision Online Document Filing system so that all email attachments will be saved automatically and made accessible from the WIP-CRM. But also will serve as their document archive system for all kind of documents like contracts, accounts payable invoices and more.

We have set up a separate hosted customised application for this client to make sure optimal performance can be achieved.

There are a lot of CRM software packages out there for the grabs, but many of them are so complicated and over the top that especially for small businesses they are not really usable. Quite often a small business owner, like we are, just need a place to keep track of (prospective) clients, their status and what has been communicated with them as well as appointment or follow-ups. When this all leads to a job/project it would also be nice to have a summary of that as well.

So we at A-Vision decided to create a simple though effective and flexible solution for that. Storing physical document is an expensive business, it either occupies a part on your premises which cannot be used for something else or you have to rent external storage. Next to that, imagine the cost for retrieving a document... it is either a long process of approval and then finding the right document in the right archive box. Developed back in 2006, over the years several companies have been using the A-Vision CMS (Content Management System) with success.
However, due to lack of resources for ongoing development we have decided to discontinue this product although we will support the product until the end of 2011 for existing customers.

We are sorry if this causes any inconveniences and our recommendation for customers wanting ongoing support is to use WordPress. If you require help with transferring your current site to WordPress, please let us know and we can make you an offer to do so.

In preparation of the new website layout we are doing an intensive job finding out where all pages indexed by search engines have to go. This is really important so that visitors finding us though an internet search do not end up with an ERROR 404 (Page not found) but will be shown the relevant information they are looking for.
