Web Application built in eight hours

Thanks to the in-house developed Web Application framework we are able to quickly develop high-end web applications within a modular environment for easy maintenance and expandability.

In this instance we have transferred a web based IssueTracker for St George's hospital. We had a choice of styling the existing user-interface or completely rebuild the IssueTracker using the A-Vision web development framework.

A quick calculation showed that the time required for a complete rebuild would take about the same time as styling the existing program.

So, here is what we have done ...

By using the A-Vision web application framework we were able to do this in only 8 hours, using their existing data. Next to that we also added some minor functionality using the functionality provided by the framework.

This can also be a windows desktop application, with the major benefit of server based web applications now everyone can access the software from their own computer and depending on user rights functionality can easily be enabled or disabled.

New dynamic A-Vision CRM in the making

There are a lot of CRM software packages out there for the grabs, but many of them are so complicated and over the top that especially for small businesses they are not really usable. Quite often a small business owner, like we are, just need a place to keep track of (prospective) clients, their status and what has been communicated with them as well as appointment or follow-ups. When this all leads to a job/project it would also be nice to have a summary of that as well.

So we at A-Vision decided to create a simple though effective and flexible solution for that. Having lots of experience with creating web base software we are working on a modular CRM software package that can be used as a basis for a wide range of software packages like our Job costing management software or a Job calculation/order system. With different software packages in the pipeline we will make sure to have a solid base available to make further developments as easy and fun as possible.

The basic CRM will foresee in the following -
  • Client management
  • Client communication
  • Important messages (like upcoming appointments etc.)
  • Basic reporting
  • Flexible module integration
  • Easy module indication using colours
  • Multi user accessibility

Web based document filing

Storing physical document is an expensive business, it either occupies a part on your premises which cannot be used for something else or you have to rent external storage. Next to that, imagine the cost for retrieving a document... it is either a long process of approval and then finding the right document in the right archive box. For a client we have built highly customised CRM business software that has become their core business tool (The LocumNET)

The application has several types of access which makes it possibile to present data on a user customised way. Customers and Suppliers can access the application showing only their particular information while the local staff can see information based on their particular access rights.
Actions are also restricted by each user's rights so that management can pull up specific reports and control user access while the 'normal' users can do their own thing.
The accounts department also accesses the same application creating AR (Accounts Receivable) invoices that are integrated into the Accounts Software (GreenTree).

A-Vision CMS (discontinued)

Developed back in 2006, over the years several companies have been using the A-Vision CMS (Content Management System) with success.
However, due to lack of resources for ongoing development we have decided to discontinue this product although we will support the product until the end of 2011 for existing customers.

We are sorry if this causes any inconveniences and our recommendation for customers wanting ongoing support is to use WordPress. If you require help with transferring your current site to WordPress, please let us know and we can make you an offer to do so.

Our main focus is web based software applications with the simple reason that web based applications are more easy to maintain, to distribute  and with the latest Internet browser technologies supports most functionality an ordinary desktop application would do.
